I sometimes think of what makes a father a dad.
It’s when he feels grateful to be responsible for the welfare of his children.
When he works hard at a job he doesn’t necessarily love because the promotion means his kids can do more than just dream of accomplishing something noteworthy.
When he reads bedtime stories that were never read to him.
When he lavishes more love and affection that he ever received as a child.
When he explains how IQ can also mean interesting question.
When the experience of raising a family translates into personal growth.
Happy Father’s Day. Your selfless role makes the world a better place.
